Kindergarteners in Mrs. Williams class gobbled up the homemade applesauce they made after learning about apples and Jonny Appleseed.

We hada wonderful turn-out at Back to School Night! Parents had time to visit their child's classes, see and hear some of the projects the students have been working on, and visit with teachers. We had a delicious meal provided by our Good News Club teachers from Emmanuel Baptist Church and prizes from the PTO!

The entire student body remembered the victims and heroes of 9/11 as they learned about the Patriot flag. Our principal, Mrs. Copp, shared the meaning of the flag's symbols and explained to the students what happend on 9/11/01. The flags were raised by our 5th grade helpers and the students pledged allegiance to the flag.

Our new class of 5th graders have several responsibilities as the leaders of the school. Two of the first tasks they learn how to complete are hanging the flags and leading morning announcements. We are excited to see this new group set the example for our younger students!

Welcome back! We are excited to start a new school year at Temperance! We have some new teacher and student faces. We are especially excited about our new bunch of kindergarteners! We invite them to participate in transition day, August 13th, from 9:00- 12:00.

Students celebrated the last day of school by making solar ovens and roasting smores in the hot sun. They also had a wonderful awards assembly, a poetry reading, and classroom parties. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer break!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders enjoyed a trip to Monticello to learn about our local history and tour the grounds of Jefferson's home.
